Blue Sky Biotech and Protein Attachment Technologies Announce Global Exclusive Licensing Agreement

Blue Sky Biotech, Inc. (Blue Sky) and Protein Attachment Technologies, LLC (PA Tech) announced today that they have entered into a global, exclusive license agreement covering PA Tech’s proprietary Template Directed Assembly (TDA™) technology for use in High-Throughput Screening (HTS) of drug candidates against membrane-associated protein targets. The license agreement extends the collaboration announced in July 2009 between the two companies. Additional terms are undisclosed. Click here for the full story.

De-Tox™

De-Tox™ is Blue Sky’s endotoxin reduction and testing platform. Protein Sciences at Blue Sky has optimized a method for endotoxin removal which works very well to reduce endotoxin levels 30,000-fold, for example from >300,000 EU⁄mL to <10 EU⁄mL. This method involves phase separation with non-ionic detergent, whereby the endotoxin is captured in the detergent phase.

Infection Kinetics Monitoring® is Blue Sky’s proprietary process framework for rapid baculoviral amplification and fast, reproducible scale-up baculovirus expression. IKM® is a tandem technology with TIPS/BIIC. IKM® and TIPS/BIIC converge to bring the most innovative and efficient baculoviral process service to the CRO marketplace.
